The
paper versions of the first four books below are on A4 paper and comb
bound.
They stress hard-to-find information and detail over production values
and pretty pictures. The detail in them is not obtainable
elsewhere, unless you read Russian.

How Odessa became Red This
is the book I wrote with Tom Hillman and Alexis Mehtidis on the French
Intervention in the Ukraine in early 1919. We sell it in .pdf form for
US$10; on CD for that sum plus cost of CD and shipping; paper copies
are sometimes possible, upon request, for US$20.
Aimed at wargamers mainly, but not ignoring other aspects of the sordid affair, it gives all the detail needed to fight the battles as well as explaining the causes of the defeat rather better than the accounts of general texts. |

Trans-Dnepr Operation: General Baron Wrangel’s Last Operation in the RCWBy
Tom Hillman. A hugely detailed look at a very interesting operation
which included opposed river crossings, tanks assaulting a fortified
city and mass cavalry battles. Unlike so many books about military
operations it gives both sides of the story. US$20 in printed form.

Kornilovski Shock RegimentBy
Tom Hillman. The translation from Russian of a complete history of the
most famous regiment of the RCW, from its founding to the evacuation
from the Crimea. On the way it deals with a few myths about the
Kornilovskis. US$20 in printed form.
